Dr. Oz’s Diet Plan + Mayo Clinic Diet

Dr. Oz’s diet plan is pretty straight-forward. Walk 10,000 steps a day, eat 100 calories less than you normally would, eat high-fiber foods and avoid the unhealthy foods. In his book he is giving great advice how to customize your diet plan and what foods you could add. Important, never add foods you don’t like. Although I have to say that you can get used to other foods. If you are used to sweet, white flavour foods and other unhealthy food you should just try to eat whole-grain for a while. It doesn’t taste that bad. There’s also whole-grain sandwiches, which are great to get used to whole-grain bread.
What are unhealthy foods? Try to avoid sugar,High-fructose corn syrup, saturated fats (get Omega 3 fats), hydrogenated oil (which is in magarine and other foods that have a long shelf life.

Diet

IMPORTANT:Replace all refined carbs

Mayo Clinic Diet

There are many many diets out there. One of them is the so called Mayo Clinic diet. Don’t follow, it does not work. Many diet authors claim that their diet is the best, but to be honest there is no secret to dieting. I know it’s hard to change. Humans are lazy and evolution made us so that we don’t waste any energy, but we have to keep working on ourselves to stay healthy.

The real secret is: hard work. If you really focus on your diet goals you will achieve them. Set small goals to avoid disappointments, but always set your goals higher. Some people need to set their goals high to get encouraged. Personally I have noticed, the higher I set my goals the sooner I will be disappointed. If you just keep working on it that’s already a great success. Why not make that your diet goal? Keep working on your diet for 30 days straight, without excuses.
