Dr. Oz’s List of Foods to Avoid:
If you consume foods with a lot of sugar you will immediately notice an energy boost, but right after that it drops down pretty quickly because of an insulin surge that will lower your blood sugar level a lot. It is better to maintain a balanced level! Simply avoid foods that list sugar as one of the top five ingredients (see food label!!)
2. High-fructose corn syrup
It blocks the ability of a chemical called leptin:
Leptin is a protein hormone that plays a key role in regulating energy intake and energy expenditure, including appetite and metabolism.
3. Enriched wheat flour (white flour)
Instead: Whole grain foods!
4. Saturated fats
Saturated fats can increase your cholesterol levels and containt “saturated fatty acid radicals”. Radicals aren’t that good!
5. Hydrogenated oil
When an oil is hydrogenated it converts oil into a more solid form. Avoid food products that contain hydrogenated oil!
