Stop Your Sugar Cravings!

Dr. Oz urges everyone to replace their unhealthy eating habits with new eating habits. One of the worst things we are eating is clearly sugar, but it takes a lot of effort to stop your sugar cravings, because we are all addicted to sugar.

There are some great alternatives to sugar. You don’t have to miss a sweet taste, but you have to get rid of the sugar. Too much sugar can be a cause of many, many health problems. We all know about this, yet we don’t act.



1st Week: Detox from sugar. Try to slowly replace all the sugar.

Get whole-grain cereals and then add 1 tablespoon of sugar to it (if you want to).

2nd Week: Eliminate the hidden sugars (peanut butter, mayonnaise, etc.)

Foods with a label “low fat” may contain more sugar! Sugar can also be hidden in many foods that you would normally expect to be sugar-free. Look out for: Fructose, Maltrose, Sorbitol, Evaporated Cane Juice

3rd/4th Week: Use Alternative sweeteners

You might want to try Blue Agave or Stevia.

Sweeten coffee with natural spices like cinnamon.

    Have you heard that Dr. Mercola has reversed his acceptance of Agave as an alternative sweetener? According to a recent article of his, the industry in Mexico has gone crazy because of the enormous demand, and agave nectar is showing up diluted with high fructose corn syrup just to make money. This is not on the label. Labels are wrong, misleading, false. Companies are manufacturing in bad conditions and contaminates have been found. So, unfortunately, agave is no longer a save recommendation for consumption.

    Too bad. It was my favorite replacement, along with honey, of course.
